MMM Day 3. On the road again

Making the most out of a quickie trip to my hometown by visiting one of my favorite restaurants. Yummy spaghetti with super secret sauce recipe.

It’s finally hot enough to wear dress #2. Perfect for spaghetti-eatin and road-trippin.

Now, back to New Jersey.

Happy MMM-ing, all you beauties.

    • Hey. Thanks for the comment. Mostly I get my fabric on eBay or I’m scouring the Walmart cheap bins, especially while I’m still new at sewing and don’t want to cut into good stuff. Today’s blue dress fabric was $1.50/yd at Walmart. Love it! The pink and green Lilly-esque fabric from Day 1 was from a local store here in New Jersey called Fabricland. It could get ugly soon though, as I just discovered Fabric Mart and their scary good sales, so stuff from there will be popping up hopefully by the end of the month. If there is a specific dress from my blog that caught your eye, let me know and I’ll pass along the info to you. Thanks again for the feedback!!

  1. Mmm, spaghetti 🙂 This dress is very cute! And the fabric is from Walmart!? I wouldn’t have guessed! Ours has such a limited (and expensive) selection.

By the way, I *love* your blog name!

    Have a great weekend!

    • Thanks!! One of my coworkers bestowed that moniker upon me when she realized how nuts I was becoming for sewing. Plus she thinks I’m cuckoo in general.

I’m lucky to have a Walmart with such a great fabric selection. Not all of them do. Some got rid of their fabric department altogether. The two locations nearest to me are hit and miss, but there’s one about 20 minutes away that’s worth the trip and has lots of marked-down treasures. Bonus–It’s next to a Cracker Barrel, so I can usually convince my sweetie to tag along with me for a fabric and country food date night.

Thanks as always for reading and commenting. Always appreciated!
